Cascade Mountain Ski Patrol

Hi everyone,I hope you all had a great summer. If it was anything like mine it was way too short.With the refresher only a week away there are a couple of things that I would like each of you to consider prior to the October 6th refresher.1.Shift sign-up and commitment- Because of issues in the past with crews being left short handed, due to patrollers not making their assigned shift and not finding a sub, we are enforcing our un excused absence policy this year. So please be prepared to sign-up to a shift that you know you can make each week. As in the past if you cannot make your shift, it's your responsibility to find a sub.Details of the policy changes will be given to each of you at the refresher. If you choose to change shifts from last year, you must talk to me first, before any changes can be made.2. Shifts needing help- Monday days, Tuesday days, Saturday nights, and Sunday nights are still in need of more help. If any patroller is willing to change to any of these times, it would really be appreciated.The instructors have a great refresher planned that is guaranteed to be challenging, but fun.I look forward to seeing each of you again, and if you have any questions for me prior to the refresher, please don't hesitate to drop me a note or call me at (608) 220-5086Joe Rileyjjriley76@earthlink.net 

Lets give Joe a warm welcome the tough job of Patrol Representative (PR)!Joe Riley served as Assistant Patrol Representative for the last two years, on top of many jobs well done in the past, and has been elected as our PR for the 2007-2009 seasons.  For those of you new to the patrol, the PR is the "big cheese" of the Cascade patrol, our formal liaison with hill management and NSP.  With over 120 members on our Patrol this is a big job, so lets give him all the help we can!Joe would like everybody to know that he can be reached at (608) 220-5086 cell anytime or at night at home (608) 825-9956, or email jjriley76@earthlink.net.
